While every school offers two specific days for participation, you only need to select one that aligns with your schedule, making it a convenient and personalized experience.
What to Expect at FAST:
• Meet Your Dedicated Success Coach: Connect with your student success coach who will guide you through crucial information for your first semester at Duquesne, setting the foundation for your academic success.
• Interactive Sessions with University Support Services: Gain valuable insights from various university support services, including health services, student involvement, financial aid, dining services, campus safety, and more. This opportunity allows you to familiarize yourself with the extensive resources available to support your university experience.
• Obtain Your Official DU Student ID Card: Secure your official Duquesne University student identification card, an essential tool for accessing campus facilities and services.
• Engage with Residence Life and Commuter Affairs Staff: Whether you're living on campus or commuting, connect with the residence life and commuter affairs staff to ensure a comfortable and enjoyable living experience.
• Set Up Your Student Bank Account with PNC Bank: Take advantage of the convenience offered by PNC Bank, our on-campus ATM servicer, to set up your student bank account efficiently. • Order or Purchase Essential Supplies: Streamline the process of acquiring textbooks, computers, and iPads/tablets, ensuring you're fully equipped for your academic coursework.
• Connect with Future Classmates: Build vital connections with future classmates, creating a strong support network for your entire university journey.
• FAST Lab Workshop: Receive personalized guidance from a trained university employee to complete your federal direct loan application, sign your Master Promissory Note (MPN), navigate the student portal, setup up authorized payers for your student eBill, apply for Parent PLUS loans, and more.
