Letter of Recommendation

Please attach a Letter of Recommendation from a high school teacher or administrator, community leader, parish affiliate, etc.

Activities Resume

Outline your involvement in community-based organizations and/or volunteer opportunities. Include a list of any honors recognizing your academic accomplishments such as Honor Roll, Dean’s List, etc.

Essay

Detail your current academic standing and your career goals. Express your potential to contribute to the Duquesne University Spiritan Mission of academic excellence, moral and spiritual values, service, and world concerns. Why do you feel you are best qualified to receive an endowed scholarship; you can include reference to meeting the criteria listed in the scholarship/s for which you are applying.

By submitting this application, I attest to the accuracy of the information disclosed in this application. In addition, under the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) - (20 U.S.C. § 1232g; 34 CFR Part 99), authorized officials of Duquesne University are permitted to disclose grade point average, major course of study, and academic standing information from my [high school and/or college] education records to the Scholarship Committee.
