Duquesne University Accelerated Graduate Business Interest Form

    Please review the following information...

    BSBA-to-MBA
    • As a junior or senior business student with a 3.0 cumulative GPA, you may take up to 6 credits of graduate-level courses - as part of your undergraduate core electives - that will count toward your MBA degree.
    • You will apply to the MBA program in the fall or spring of your senior year.
    • With good academic performance in specific undergraduate classes, you will be waived out of 6 credits of MBA fundamental courses.
    • In total, you can apply up to 12 credits toward the completion of your MBA.
    • Graduate courses taken while an undergraduate student are billed at the undergraduate tuition rate and fulfill course requirements for both the bachelor's and master's degrees.
    • Our accelerated Professional MBA is open to all undergraduate business majors who continue directly into the program at the start of the next academic semester following the completion of their BSBA.
    • You will be assured admission into the Professional MBA program if you earn a 3.0 or better cumulative undergraduate GPA and a B or better in each graduate business course.
    • Your grades in MBA courses taken as an undergraduate will count toward your cumulative GPA in the MBA program. At the graduate level, a 3.0 cumulative GPA is required for good academic standing and awarding of your graduate degree.

    Although the BSBA-to-MBA is primarily designed for the Professional MBA, some courses may qualify for advanced standing toward the One-Year MBA. Please contact the Graduate School of Business at grad-bus@duq.edu for more information.

    Fast Track PMBA
    • As a junior or senior student in a non-business program, you may take up to 6 credits of MBA fundamental courses as part of your undergraduate electives.
    • Students will be evaluated based on their undergraduate academic performance. Final eligibility for the Fast Track PMBA is determined by the Associate Dean for Graduate Programs and Executive Education.
    • You will apply to the MBA program in the fall or spring of your senior year.
    • Graduate courses taken while an undergraduate student are billed at the undergraduate tuition rate and fulfill course requirements for both the bachelor's and master's degrees.
    • You will be assured admission into the Professional MBA program if you earn a 3.0 or better cumulative undergraduate GPA and a B or better in each graduate business course.
    • Your grades in MBA courses taken as an undergraduate will count toward your cumulative GPA in the MBA program. At the graduate level, a 3.0 cumulative GPA is required for good academic standing and awarding of your graduate degree.
    This form serves as a statement of interest for our accelerated business programs and is required prior to enrolling in any graduate business courses. You will still be required to submit a graduate application when you are ready to begin full-time graduate study.
