Jeffrey S. Kelly Catholic Studies Term Scholarship

All students are eligible to apply for a Jeffrey S. Kelly Catholic Studies Term Scholarship:

$2500/year for all majors, renewable annually through 2024-25
$1250/year for all minors, renewable annually through 2024-25

Final awards will be made typically after meeting with the department chair.

Initial requirements for the scholarship:

Complete this application.
Interview with the chair of the department.
- The interview is conversational: to understand the student’s interest in Catholic Studies, to introduce our professors and classes, and to understand how the major or minor will fit in the student’s degree plan.
- The interview is not competitive, and no special preparation is required.
Meet with your academic advisor. This may take place before or after the interview with the chair of Catholic Studies.
Declare the major or minor on DORI.

On-going requirements for the scholarship:

Be enrolled full time with 12 or more credits.
Remain in good academic standing.
Each semester during class registration, meet with the chair of Catholic Studies or an approved professor of Catholic Studies, to update your degree plan.
The semester of graduation, complete a survey and meet with the chair of Catholic Studies for an exit interview.
